+ spent the day with third cousins from the philippines, fam & the boyfriend. perfect combo ♥. guess where we went? oh yeaaa the ESPRIT warehouse sale. i SO signed up to get updates for the next sales & i totally went crazy there. i was the last person to leave there out of all of us - my dad kept texting me to hurry up. thank god my boyfriend was there to carry all the clothes i was going through =) thanks boyfriend!!!! =) oh my gosh, i had to cut out so many clothes b/c my dad leant me his visa, and i didn't wanna spend TOO much. i felt like i was in a CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC movie - at that sample sale she went to and fought with that girl for the Gucci designer boots ahaha. most especially when they dumped out the boxes of new clothes, everyone went crazy going through the pile, to find that one item that was different then the rest on the table. i got a pair of gloves, two tops, and some underwear. i wanted to get this jacket....but i couldn't. my heart broke when i gave it away in the change room to a lady who looked like she could pass for a model. she was so nice though! she had a francais accent. conversation included:

modelbod-lady: that top ees perrfect on yuu!
me: really? thanks!!!
modelbod-lady: do you think zis jacket looks nice? the colour ees beautiful, no? eet's not too big?
me: no! it totally fits you.
modelbod-lady: sheeet! (shit) ees this your first time at one of zeesales?
me: yeah *blushes*
modelbod-lady: oh you will get adeected for zhure! sheeet! zis one looks nice too! i weel end up buying zem all!

+ she was so sweet and pretty & when i finally decided i wasn't going to get the jacket (that i later found out my boyfriend loved), i asked her if she wanted to try it on. =( if only i looked like her. she pulled off an ORANGE jacket. an ORANGE jacket!!!! not many people can pull of a bright orange jacket.

+ on another note, after my boyfriend left, i was going to tell my dad something, but i didn't want to interrupt him, so i stopped to listen to the conversation going on between him and my tita (aunt) chuchi. she was talking about her life and all the hardships she went through, especially with her ex-husband. let me tell you, i love these stories. they give you a snapshot of the real person the speaker is, and it's just inspiring. she was and IS such a strong woman. i admire her equally as much as i do my parents. she's so strong willed and intelligent. the push and self-perseverance it took to get through a life like hers...wow... hearing the stories of your elders' lives really makes you think about what you want to do, and how narrow your views are about life. no wonder our parents say - "when you're older you'll understand."

+ random: men have the power to manipulate woman so easily. it disgusts me.

i wonder what kind of woman i will become.
