I had the weirdest dream last night. It involved: elevators, my friends Bea & Val, a piano, space shuttles, the universe, Stella Hoang, & a girl named Christine. Oh, and it was during exam time in a school that I've never seen before! So weird... I always have detailed dreams. I wonder why. It feels so real, like I'm living in a dual reality. One time, I had a dream that foretold the future - I dreamed my ex-boyfriend would break up with me & it happened. I didn't think much of it, but when it happened, I suddenly realized there could be a connection b/w dreams & reality. There were also times I had dreams with dragons.I've had weird encounters with people I want to confront, and dreams where I'm getting chased by evil villains. One time, my dream even combined portions of The Chronicles of Narnia and Harry Potter! I personally believe that dreams have a purpose. There must be a reason for why these randomly selected thoughts were placed into our brains - and while we were sleeping? I suppose that dreams could be displaced thoughts that tell something about ourselves, but how can we know? Neuroscience can only tell us so much, and plus, psychology can only tell us information based on the results of previous experiments. Everyone is different - we all have different brains. I don't believe that they can pinpoint the exact purpose of dreams. I was having a talk with my dad about this before....it's so interesting, no? :) I don't know, it boggles the mind...or at least, my mind. & that's my random thought of the day.
